James has worked in law enforcement for over 18 years in Silicon Valley, serving in many different roles. He has been a court-appointed educational rights advocate for juveniles in the criminal justice system. He is currently Vice President of the San Jose Police Officers’ Association where he was previously political and community relations director. While at the SJPOA, James has worked on building better relationships with our community and giving his members a larger voice in local politics. James has extensive media/public relations experience and frequently is seen on television commenting on public safety or LGBT issues. James is a senior fellow with American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley and a member of the San Jose chapter of Rotary International. James has brought his skills and experience in political campaigning to BAYMEC and is currently serving in his 5th year as board president. When not working James loves cooking for friends and international travel.
